What was your favorite project to create? Why?
My favorite project this semester was creating a monster because it was open ended and I enjoyed being exposed to James DeRosso's work. Another aspect of the project I liked was when we brainstormed during class, it was inspiring.
Think about a time where you struggled or found something difficult? How were you able to overcome this struggle? If you were not able to overcome this, why do you think this was?
I struggled during the Sgraffito project because of how time consuming the whole process was. By the whole process I mean continuously having to redraw my design and then scraping the paint off, I'm impatient and so this process was really pushing me to go slow and take my time and that's how I got through it.
Think about when you first walked into ceramics, what did you know, what didn't you know . . . Now explain to me how you have grown over the semester in your ability to do ceramics.
I have grown a lot over the semester because I would have never been able to create my monster if that was our first project. In the beginning I had no clue how to use tools or how to glaze but know I understand how to use tools and now I can teach people how to glaze.
