PROCESS
- For the base of my coil cup I start out by taking some clay and putting it under the slab roller.
- Once my clay is nice and flat I set a spray bottle on top of my slab and use a fettling knife to cut out a circle .This circle is my base.
- After that I start to create different types of coils to then place on my circle and smooth into place.
- I then repeated this step until I reach my desired design and shape .
INSPIRATION
While I was searching the web I came across these coil's that don't look like a cup at all and I admired that feature about this piece. While I do know the shape I'm going for I do want to use multiple coil types to add something extra to my piece.

FINAL PRODUCT
The glaze compliments my piece nicely, and there are no gaps which is a plus. Even though my coil "cup" turned into a coil "bowl" it is still useful and that is whats important.
